Tower Crane

The Legacy Sensor Block Library is available for users who have purchased the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT Software Version 2.0. The library adds support to RCX actions and sensors to the NXT Software. It includes blocks for the RCX motor, lamp, touch sensor, light sensor, rotation sensor and temperature sensor. The blocks are available in English, French, German, Japanese, and Dutch.

NOTE: In order to connect the RCX sensors to the NXT, a converter cable is required.

Instructions
Click on download to save the library to your hard drive. Unzip the downloaded archive including the folder structure and follow the instructions in the ReadMe file.

This activity combines Reneweable Energy and LEGO MINDSTORMS Educaiton. Investigate the NXT Solar Station’s ability to generate power by data logging wattage (W) values. Also investigate how a light source turned towards the NXT Solar Station and moving in different directions affects its performance. Optionally, a fixed NXT Solar Station can be compared to a movable NXT Solar Station by data logging the performance of both.
